fragment of a blog post I'll eventually write: "The game rules, and the gm, have the responsibility to design a curated slide for your highly specific sledge to go down to. It should be fun, and with the right amount of friction and bumpiness. It's your responsibility to know your sledge. What kind of "fun" do you like? How much friction do you want? How much can you take? Do you like constantly bumping into walls (lore) (rules) (mechanics) (crunch) or do you prefer something smoother and with a lower pressure level? This way, I think, we make it so the game isn't the only thing responsable for our fun. The more we know what kinds of slides are fun for us, and the more we know the kinds of sledges these different slides reward, the better we'll be at finding "that one game that really gets me going"."
